PURPOSE:To prevent bad influence of plasticizer present in plastic film as well as improve the heat sensitivity of a heat-sensitive coloring layer by a method in which a specific additive is added to the heat sensitive coloring layar and a water-soluble high-molecular protective layer on the surface of the heat-sensitive coloring layer. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of a supporter, a heat-sensitive coloring layer, contatning a leuco dye, an acid substance capable of coloring the leuco dye when heated, and an additive selected from N-alkylbenzamides (A) of the formula[where R<1> is a C1-30 alkyl and R<2> is H or -CO2R<3> (R<3> is a C1-10 alkyl)], magnesium stearate, and behenic acid (B), is provided. Furthermore, an adhesive layer and a releasing base paper are laminated on the back side of the supporter, and a water-soluble high-molecular protective layer is provided on th surface of said heat-sensitive coloring layer. The high molecular substance used in the water-soluble high-molecular protective layer includes polyvinyl alcohol, methylcellulose, gelatin, etc.
