Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable easy measurement of torque by converting a fine torsion of a torque transmission shaft into an axial displacement while enlarging it during the rest and the rotation thereof. CONSTITUTION:First sleeves 3A and 3B of a shaft 1 is fitted into each other and mounted thereon 1 with one end of the sleeves 3A and 3B retained at a desired space. Guide grooves 5a and 5b are provided on the outer surface thereof 3A and 3B axially at different angles from each other and a second sleeve 4 with a pair of projections on the inner surface thereof are fitted into the first sleeves 3A and 3B so that the projections are engaged with the guide grooves 5a and 5b respectively. This enables increase in changes of the guide grooves due to torsion caused by a torque thereby producing a larger axial displacement.
