PURPOSE:To prolong operation life of an injection pump after an engine is mounted by determining a ratio of pressures for lifting a needle valve, one is required when the injection valve is opened and the other just after that, that is, a characteristic value of Schnar sound, within a specific range when the injection pump is tested with a hand pump. By reversely calculating the sV under the condition the pressure for closing should be more than one-third of the pressure for opening, the SV must be fixed below 2.0. That is, the SV ranging 1.05 and 2.00 is ideal for long duration of the generated Schnar sound to prolong a service life of the injection valve.
