Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:An S-triazolo[1,5-a]pyridine derivative shown by the formulaI(R is H or methyl; n is 0W5; Y is lower alkoxy) and its acid addition salt.
EXAMPLE: 1-[4-( S-Triazolo[ 1,5-a]pyridine-2-y1 )butyl ]-4-( 2-methoxyphenyl ) piperazine and its maleate.
USE: Useful as an adjustor for cardiovascular system, especially useful as a remedy for hypertension.
PROCESS: A compound shown by the formula II or its salt is subjected to the selective introduction of 4 hydrogen atoms to the pyridine ring in a solvent such as an alcohol in the presence of a catalyst prepared conventionally at a pressure between normal pressure and 80 atm at room temperatureW100°C, to give a compound shown by the formulaI.
