Abstract

PURPOSE: To filter the SAKE by the improved fractionating and ger-free method and improve the clarity of the filtered SAKE, by using microporous hollow fibrous membranes.
CONSTITUTION: A raw SAKE before the pasteurization or SAKE after the addition of a protenic flocculating agent and pasteurization is filtered through microporous hollow fibrous membranes having an average pore size of 0.01W1μ, preferably 0.02W0.2μ, e.g. polyvinyl alcohol hollow fibrous membranes, and the filtered SAKE is diluted with water if desired and then refiltered through microporous hollow fibrous membranes having an average pore diameter of 0.01W1μ.
