Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the distortion of an image, by giving the lateral compression of the same ratio in accordance with the longitudinal compression of the 1st video signal when the 1st video signal is compressed to a CRT and then the 2nd video signal is inserted to the compressed area. CONSTITUTION:A deflecting circuit 20 is constituted so that the lateral direction is also compressed with the same ratio in accordance with the longitudinal compression of the 1st image A. When the ratio between the 1st and 2nd images A and B varies with increment of the compression factor of the image A, the DC voltage EC increases. As a result, the impedance is reduced for a control transistor TRQ8, and accordingly the base bias voltage of a TRQ7 is reduced. Thus the power supply voltage VB which is obtained at the emitter side of the TRQ7 is lowered. As a result, the horizontal sawtooth current is lowered to suppress the horizontal amplification. Therefore the lateral signal of the image A is also compressed with the same ratio in accordance with the longitudinal compression of the image A.
