Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent effectively the run-off of soil and sand by a simplified method in which when preventing soil run-off phenomenon, e.g., land sliding, etc., guide piles are penetrated into the ground, and then resistance blocks are sunk with their empty weights along the guide pile into the ground. CONSTITUTION:Cylindrical guide piles are penetrated in prallel at given intervals into the ground in a direction crossing to the direction of land slide, and then heavy-weight resistance blocks 21 of concrete for the first stage are placed along the guide piles 1 in such a way as to erect them on the ground's surface. The blocks 21 are sunk with their empty weights into the ground along the guide piles 1 as the surrounding soil flows down.
