Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate an oppressive sensation on one's chest which will be caused by an automobile seat belt that will be stretched in response to the ignition switch operation and the load of one's seating, by clamping the belt after stretching it when one is seated with one's back against the back of the seat. CONSTITUTION:When one is seated, a switch 23 is turned ON, and then when an ignition switch 22 is turned ON, a motor 16 is driven. As a result a flexible wire 18 is pulled to rotate an anchoring member 24 counterclockwise to cause a friction engaging section 30 to move away from a lower section 27 of a guide member 12. Therefore the friction engagement of the seat belt 9 is released, and the belt 9 is pulled by a retractor (not shown) to fasten him. When he is leaned against the seat back 2, the switch 15 is turned on, and the motor 16 is stopped to release the tension of the wire 18. Thus the anchoring section 24 is rotated in a direction opposite to R by a spring 40 so that the belt 9 is anchored between the engaging section 30 and the lower section 27 to be stretched. Thus, an oppressive feeling on his chest can be eliminated.
