Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a trans-axle from directly contacting with the ground, by securing only one end of an under guard to the trans-axle, and providing cushioning members to one surface of the opposite surfaces thereof. CONSTITUTION:In the construction wherein the under guard 4 is attached to a converter housing (trans-axle) 2 of an auto engine 1 by a bolt 5, the guard 4 has a shape in conformity with the housing 2, and the intermediate section thereof is bent down. The first cushioning member 6 is bonded on the surface of a bottom plate 4c of the guard 4 with a space between the member 6 and the bottom surface of the housing 2, the second cushioning member 7 having rigidity lower than that of the member 6 is provided such that it is in contact with the bottom surface of the housing 2, and only one end of the guard 4 is attached to the housing 2 by the bolt 5. Thus, when there is slight interference with the ground, the impact is absorbed by the displacement of the guard 4 and the member 7, and against great impact the member 6 can act as a stopper.
