Abstract

PURPOSE:To print data surely even if a customer opens an erroneous page to insert into his bankbook, by discriminating a page, where data should be printed, in accordance with magnetic information peculiar to the bankbook from a magnetic medium provided in the inserted bankbook and turning over pages automatically to print data. CONSTITUTION:Step-shaped notch parts are provided in end parts of the cover, leaves, and the back cover of a bankbook. The bankbook is inserted to a printer from an entrance 13, and a start button is depressed, and data is inputted from a keyboard 12. The bankbook is detected in a part 14 and is carried through a part 16 and is stopped in a prescribed position, and a page where data should be printed is read out from the magnetic stripe of the bankbook. A subbase 20 is moved, and a pawl piece 27 detains the notch part to be detained, and a rotary solenoid 26, an idler 31, and a solenoid 34 cooperate to open a prescribed page. The bankbook is carried to a printing part 17 through parts 36 and 38, and a mark sensor 56 detects a print line to print data. When the number of print lines is deficient, the bankbook is fed reversely, and the page is turned over again by the pawl piece 27, and print is restarted similarly. After printing all data, the backbook is carried reversely through parts 36 and 38 and is closed and is ejected from the insertion entrance.
