PURPOSE:To simplify the control of ringing signal controlling device, by performing designations and operation checks to each ringing signal controlling device for current use and stand-by with a single control word. CONSTITUTION:One of doubled maintenance signal controlling devices 3-0 and 3-1 delivers, for example, a control word composed of 16 bits to double ringing signal controlling devices 4-0 and 4-1. The device currently used 4-0 receives the lower 8 bits of the control word and the stand-by device 4-1 receives the upper 8 bits. Both the devices 4-0 and 4-1 receive the control word at their controlling section 8, respectively. Relay circuits 9-00-9-0n in each device 4-0 and 4-1 output signals of ringing signal generators 5-0-5-n after combining them in accordance with the designation of the control word. Signals of the currently used device side out of these signals are sent to a line circuit through a switching circuit section 6 which is controlled by a switching controlling device 7. Check signals from the ringing signal controlling devices 4-0 and 4-1 are transferred to the maintenance signal controlling devices 3-0 and 3-1 through monitors 10-00-10-0n as a piece of control word.
