Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide an automatic hydrant which can operate safely and reliably by separating a detector from a control station and by providing the detector with a transmitter and the control station with a receiver. CONSTITUTION:A transmitter 1 is adapted to radiate a light or a sound wave. A receiver 2 comprising a photocell device or a sound receiving device is adapted to receive a light or a sound wave to judge the existence of an object. When a cock 16 is previously opened, and hands or dishes approach the tip of a tap, a detector 6 is adapted to detect it and radiate a detecting signal by a radio wave. A control station 12 receives the radio wave to open a valve 10 in the inside thereof and supply water out of the tap 13. The detector 6 may be attached to a place advantageous to detection of hands or dishes, and the control station 12 is disposed within the distance of radio wave from the detector 6.
