Abstract

PURPOSE:To simply control the initial position of a seal ring and to ensure sealing by providing operating rods passing through plural places of the periphery of the seal ring in a globe valve, which are provided with a seal ring moving control device and threaded on a pipe of the opening portion. CONSTITUTION:A globe valve 6 is interposed in a valve cylinder 1, to which a pipe 21 is attached by a flange 22. A projection 33 mounted on a seat ring 4 is provided with a through hole 31 permitting an operating rod 23 to pass therethrough. The operating rod 23 is adapted to pass through the flange 22 in such a manner as to seal and slide, and is engaged with a tapped hole 26 mounted on a receiving portion of the pipe 21, the other end of the rod being provided with an adjusting nut 34. The rod 23 is rotated and advanced by spirals until the projection 33 of the rod is brought into contact with the ring 4 so as to control the initial operating position of the seal ring 4. The ring is moved by fluid pressure with good follow by utilizing a gap delta+alpha.
