Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture a large-sized screen at a low cost, in a large quantity and also continuously, by providing a photosensitive thin film layer on the outside circumferential surface of a transparent cylindrical roller, scanning by a laser beam, developing, forming a mesh pattern, and exposing the mesh pattern on a rollerlike photosensitive material from the axial part of the roller. CONSTITUTION:A thin film layer 2 whose degree of transmission is varied by photosensitization is formed on the outside circumferential surface of a cylinder 1 of transparent glass, etc. by the same coating method, etc. as the manufacturing method of a photograph film. Subsequently, the roller 1 is rotated by a driving device 3, a lead screw 6 is driven by a driving device 7, a laser beam is made to execute a reciprocating motion in the axial direction of the roller 1 through a head 5 from an argon laser generator 4, and the layer 2 is sensitized and developed in the form of a mesh pattern.
