Abstract

PURPOSE:To evade trouble during a copying stage by coating an electrophotographic transfer form with a water soluble compound to a <=1.5g/m<2> coating amont, and obtaining 1.0X10<9>-1.0X10<11>OMEGA/cm<2> surface electric resistivity in a standard state. CONSTITUTION:During a stage for making a 64.0g/m<2> weight transfer form, 1.2g/m<2> starch and 0.3g/m<2> PVA as a water soluble compound and 0.07g/m<2> NaCl as a conducting agent are applied. The surface electric resistivity of this transfer form at 20 deg.C temperature and 65% relative humidity is 9.0X10<9>OMEGA/cm<2>. Using this form reduces the generation rate of troubles with running characteristics, such as double transportation and stacking in a discharge tray, in a copying stage to <=0.1%. When the amount of the coated water soluble compound is reduced to <=1.5g/m<2>, the stickeness of paper due to hygroscopicity is suppressed to evade troubles in a punching stage.
