Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to positiviely peel off and remove a carcass band from a drum in a short time by such an arrangement wherein on the surface of the drum many small holes which are interconnected to air chambers are drilled and compressed air is supplied to those air chambers from the innermost ones to the outermost ones in sequence at a fixed interval. CONSTITUTION:A carcass band whose forming has been completed is adhered closely to the surface of a drum 10, and when compressed air is supplied to an air chamber 11 at the center of the drum from an air pipe route 15, air is blown out from small holes 20 to cause the close adhesion at the central part of the drum to peel off. Next, compressed air is supplied to air chambers 12, 12 located both outsides thereof from an air pipe route 16, and air is blown out from small holes 20 and the peeled off part is expanded outward. Then, air is supplied to air chambers 13, 13 located both outsides thereof from an air pipe route 17, and lastly when air is supplied to air chambers 14 from a pipe route 18, the carcass band is completely separated from the forming drum and it is sent to the next stage of processing.
