PURPOSE:To make the magnetic field distribution on the rotor facing surfaces approximately uniform over both ends and the center, by forming the inner circumferential surface of each of permanent magnets into a curved surface whose curvature center is a point located at a place motor remoted from the permanent magnet than the rotor central point. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 2 is rotatably disposed in a magnetic cylindrical body 1 so as to rotate about a point C, having a truely round shape whose curvature center is the point C similarly to the outer circumferential surface of the magnetic cylindrical body. In addition, the outer circumferential surface of each of a plurality of permanent magnets 3 such as ferrite magnets or the like, having a fan-shaped section, is closely attached to the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical body 1. The outer circumferential surface 4 of said magnet 3 is formed into a curved surface whose curvature center is a point 6, while the inner circumferential surface 7 thereof is formed into a curved surface whose curvature center is a point 9. Thereby, the gap between the inner circumferential surface 7 and the rotor 2 is so formed that the central part 10 is narrow while both side parts 11 are wider than that. Accordingly, the magnetic field distribution can be approximately uniform over both end parts and the central part.
