Abstract

PURPOSE: To deodorize the waste gas of a dryer with a small sized and inexpensive installation at a low fuel cost by providing a deodorizing device having a zeolite chamber around a flame passage at the contact point between a hot wind generating furnace and the dryer.
CONSTITUTION: A flame passage 101 communicating with the combustion chamber 201 of a hot wind generating furnace 2 and a rotary kiln 302 of a dryer 3 penetrates through the central part of a deodorizing device 1 having a zeolite chamber 102, and the waste gas of the dryer 3 sucked by a fan 306 for suction from a cyclone 304 is conducted through a duct 301 into said zeolite chamber 102 heated to around 150W250°C by the radiated heat from the circumferential wall of the passage 101, whereby it is deodorized. This gas is released through a duct 104 out through a chimney 4 by a fan 401. When the flame temp. is low, it is possible to increase the temp. of the chamber 102 by opening the whole or part of a proper number of temp. control holes 103 provided to the passage 101.
