Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of vibration of the sliding valve and prevent leakage due to the damage of welding between the sliding valve and the diaphragm by a method wherein the pressure receiving section of the sliding valve is constituted by the diaphragm of oil resistive rubber material or the like and the securing section thereof is welded by heat to the sliding valve through a retainer made of a material same as the valve. CONSTITUTION:The diaphragm 17 is constituted by the oil resistive rubber material while the sliding valve 10 is formed by a resin material such as polyacetal copolymer or the like, thereafter, the thermo-welding section 23 of the securing section 18 of the diaphragm 17 is secured by thermo-welding through the upper and lower retainers 13, 14 formed by the material same as the sliding valve. The damage due to the thermo- welding of the securing section 18 of the deaphragm upon the thermo-welding thereof may be prevented by selecting a material constituting the sliding valve 10 having a melting point lower than the instantaneous heat reistive temperature of the securing section 18 of the diaphragm. Furthermore, the stability of an engine may be improved by reducing the amount of vibration of the sliding valve 10 due to the light weight of the resin materials, which, in turn, contributes to reduce the weight of the carburettor.
