Abstract
PURPOSE: To conduct a test corresponding to the travelling stage of a medicine to a rectum mocous membrane and further into blood, by modeling the medicines movement from the rectum secreting fluid to the rectum mucous membrane as the medicines distribution between water and an organic solvent.
CONSTITUTION: A fixed quantity of a comparatively nonpolar organic solvent heavier than water is taken in a vessel 1 so as to immerse the lower end of an outer cylindrical body 3 and an organic solvent phase 12 is formed. Next, a fixed quantity of a buffer solution is taken in the inside and outside of the body 3 and water phases 11, 13 are formed. Hereafter, a cylindrical filter paper 6 attached and fixed to an inner cylindrical body 4, is immersed into the phase 11 of the body 3 slowly and is attached and fixed by a hanging collar 5. Then, a suppository to be inspected 14 is thrown in the filter paper 6 and a rotating rod 8 and a stirrer 9 are operated at the same time. Further, a fixed quantity of the sample solution is sampled from the phase 12 or the phase 13 at every fixed time and the determination of medcines is carried out. Hereby, the medicines moving tendency to a rectum mucous membrane or blood is grasped precisely.
