Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-sensitive recording paper having excellent heat sensitivity, excellent storage stability, and high fixability, by using a binder having an alkali solubility but an acid insolubility for the developer layer of a thermally developable diazo type recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A developer layer 2, in which a basic substance, e.g, an inorganic or organic ammonium salt, an organic amine, etc., as developers is dispersed or dissolved in a binder having an alkali solubility but an acid insolubility, e.g., isobutylene-maleic anhydride copolymer, ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer, casein, etc., is formed on a support 1, and a photo-sensitive layer 3 containing a diazonium salt is further formed on the developer layer 2. A coupling agent is incorporated in one or both of the photo-sensitive layer 3 and the developer layer 2. Also, the developer layer 2 may be formed after forming the photo-sensitive layer 3, or a partition wall layer 4 of paraffin wax, etc., may be interposed between the both layers.
