Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the titled material excellent in thermal response and long- term preservability, by a method wherein a heat-sensitive color forming layer comprising a diazo compound, a coupler and a heat-fusible substance as main components is provided on both sides of a base having a thermal conductivity of not higher than a specified value. CONSTITUTION:The heat-sensitive color forming layer comprising a diazo compound (e.g., a compound of the formula), a coupler (e.g., a phenol derivative) and a heat-fusible substance (e.g., stearamide) as main components is applied on both sides of a base such as wood free paper (e.g., wood free paper of 50g/cm<2>) having a thermal conductivity of 0.1kcal/m.hr. deg.C or below, preferably 0.04kcal/ m.hr. deg.C, in a deposition amount of, for example, 1-10g/m<2> to obtain the objective recording material. EFFECT:Even an opaque recorded matter can be used as an original for duplication. USE:Securities, exchange tickets, admission tickets, certificates, etc.
