Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform stable control of air-fuel ratio at opening and closing of a needle valve, by regulating air bleed quantity to an air bleed position through a step motor. CONSTITUTION:A step motor 10 both moves a tapered needle valve 11 axially shuttling by its reversible rotary motion and changes opening area of a main fuel air bleed passage 13 and low speed air bleed passage 14 in a carburetor 12. Even if the needle valve 11 is in a fully closed state, a minimum air bleed amount can be held to prevent fuel from flowing into air bleed passages 13, 14. In this way, air is endlessly flowing in the air bleed passages 13, 14, and fuel is never immersed in the air bleed passages 13, 14 by pulsation of the carburetor, then misinformation is not caused, thus stable control of air-fuel ratio can be performed.
