Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce range finding time, by making an AF operation possible according to each lens, through the movement of the lenses to the next retrieval position, if the range finding detection is impossible at the first position of a distance adjusting mechanism. CONSTITUTION:If a sufficient range finding signal is not obtained at the initial lens position, an output of an amplifier 45 goes to L, a signal from an oscillator 59 is given to a terminal 60 via an AND gate 49 and a down counter 37 counts down. A retrieval helicoid position signal is outputted from a lens side ROM 62 with the address designation of the counter 37, and the lenses are driven to the said position with a motor 58, an FF35 is inverted through the end of driving to check whether the servo is again possible or not. If possible, the motor 58 is driven with an amplifier 52 to perform the servo AF and is impossible, the lenses are driven to a new retrieval position.
