Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the titled composition excellent in the performance and suitable for a raw material of an insulator used in an outer or inner wall of a prefabricated house, by blending a phenolic resin, phenol-sulfonic acid, methylene chloride, zinc dust and a silicone.
CONSTITUTION: 65W80wt% phenolic resin (A), 10W16wt% phenolsulfonic acid (B), 4.5W12.0wt% methylene chloride (C), 3.5W6.5wt% zinc dust (D) and 0.2W0.7wt% silicone (E) are blended. If the constituent (A) is ≤65wt%, the mechanical strength of the molded item that will be obtained is too low for the item to be used as an insulator, and if it is ≥80wt%, the moldability become worse. If the constitutent (B) is ≤10wt%, the phenolic resin, that is, the constituents (A) will not cure enough, and if it is ≥16wt%, the curing time is so short that an item having suitable dimensions can not be obtained, and further the density thereof is so high that it is unsuitable as an insulator.
