Abstract
PURPOSE:To offer the titled molding die which enables simplified efficient operation, by inserting a heat-generating electric wire and an electric insulating material into one side of metal dies at their joint part and another electric insulating material into the other side of the metal dies at their joint part, so as to accomplish molding and flash-cutting at once. CONSTITUTION:A heat-generating electric wire 3 and an electric insulating material 9 are inserted into an upper die 1, while another electric insulating material 7 is inserted into a lower die 2. By use of these metal dies, a parison, for instance, is located therein, and the upper die 1 and the lower die 2 are clamped together so that thin flashes 8 are formed in the parison at the joint part of the two dies. Electric power from a power source 6 is transformed into desired voltage by a voltage controller 5, and an electric current is applied to the heat- generating electric wire 3 through a leading wire 4 to melt away the flashes 8. In this way, a flash-free product is obtained.
