Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a tape from damaging by sensing the stop of a take-up or payoff reel shaft, and then stopping a tape recorder through other relative mechanisms. CONSTITUTION:When a rewind operation key 71 is pressed as shown by an arrow O, a left-right moving bar 76 movrs as shown by an arrow K and through a changeover lever 73, a changeover gear 79 rotates at an angle of deviation as shown by an arrow M to mesh with an intermediate gear 82. A payoff reel shaft 83 rotates as shown by an arrow Q to rewind a cassette tape and when the end of the tape comes, the shaft 83 is stopped forcibly. Then, the intermediate gear 82 is also stopped, the changeover gear 79 is stopped, and a drive gear 9 is stopped as well. A pulley cam 14 is pressed down as shown by an arrow H and an operation-key lock plate 68 is moved in a prescrived direction through a sense gear 53 and a lock lever 61.
