Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve adequate damping by providing a hollow part to the center pole of the magnetic circuit of a driving element for tracking, and then providing a sampling element in the hollow part. CONSTITUTION:A track driving element 40 consists of a coil 41 provided on one side of a track movable housing 20, a magnetic circuit 42 provided at the corresponding position in an external housing 30, and a damping element 43 provided to a center pole 42a. The damping element 43 consists of a cylinder 44 fitted in a hollow part 42a' projected in the center pole 42, a piston 45 a little bit thinner than the cylinder, a shaft 46 fixed at one end to the piston 45 and fitted threadedly in the housing 20 at the other end, oil injected into the cylinder 44, and a viscous fluid 47, such as a magnetic fluid, and its viscous resistance damps the housing 20.
