Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the constitution simple and cheap, by allowing the specification of the position of a vehicle by the signal passing through a closed loop, when forming the loop reaching above the ground from the vehicle to return to the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A vehicle 1 runs along a guide way 3 with a rubber tyre 2. The vehicle 1 is loaded with a transmitter 4, having two armatures 5, 5a projected downward at a fixed interval. On the other hand, two short-circuit plates 6, 6a, 7, 7a of earth potentials connected with each other are provided at the plurality of points above the ground. The short-circuit plates 6, 6a and 7, 7a have the interval so long as that between the armatures 5, 5a. Therefore, a closed loop is formed at the time the armatures 5, 5a touch respectively the short-circuit plates 6, 6a or 7, 7a with the travel of the car 1 with the signal emitted from the transmitter 4 passes through the closed loop. From detecting this signal by a receiver 8 loaded on the car 1, the armatures 5, 5a can be detected to touch the short- circuit plates 6, 6a or 7, 7a, further specifying the position thereat.
