Also, on the downstream end of the remover 3, a sorter 5 for fine foreign matters, provided with a sterilizer, is provided. Large- size foreign matters, e.g., driftwood, etc., coming with water taken from the intake 1 are removed by the remover 3, and also fine foreign matters contained in flowing water are removed by the sorter 5 and at the same time the water is sterilized.
