Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the quality and working efficiency of piping by clamping the joining parts of piping by means of freely length-adjustable links in an annular chain enclosing said part and engaging width adjusting members to projecting members and the links. CONSTITUTION:Plural links 9 having pipe retaining pats 11 riding on the joining part 7 of tubular bodies 1, 1' and provided with mutually freely attachable and detachable pin joint coupling means are connected to form an annular chain 10. The part 7 is enclosed by this chain 10, and the bodies 1, 1' are clamped by reducing the length of the links 9' until the centers of both are aligned. Width adjusting members 19 are engaged with the projecting members 18 secured to the surfaces of the bodies 1, 1' and the links 9 and round bars 20 are driven between the members 18 and 19, whereby the body 1 is moved slightly in its longitudinal direction. A spacing of the joining part 7 is opened, and the part 7 is welded, whereby the bodies 1, 1' are connected.
