PURPOSE:To provide a diazo copying material capable of obtaining a high- density image by low temp. development, and superior in raw stock stability, by using a specified diazo compound, a specified color-developing adjuvant, and a specified encapsulating agent. CONSTITUTION:A diazo compound is represented by general formulaIin which R is 1-5 C alkyl; R<1>, R<2> are each optionally substd. alkyl or oxyalkyl, or the like, or both may form a ring; and X is an anion. A color-developing adjuvant is represented by the general formula: R<3>CONH2 in which R<3> is 5-24C optionally satd. alkyl. An aqueous solution or dispersion to be coated and dried on a support containes the diazo compound; a coupling component and the adjuvant, one of the two being encapsulated with a hydrophobic polymer formed by polymerizing a vinyl monomer and having 50-150 deg.C heat-softening temp.; and other additives. The coupling component and the adjuvant may be contained in a precoat layer.
