Abstract

PURPOSE:To contact surely between a tape and a magnetic head, by setting a mobile tape guide to press the tape stretched over within a hub toward the magnetic head at the upstream side of the travelling tape from the head in the recording/reproducing mode and then to detach the tape from the magnetic head in other modes. CONSTITUTION:The diagrams show the recording mode, the reproducing mode and other modes respectively. When an endless tape cassette 9 is loaded to a VTR, a tape 3 stretched between the guide pins 5 and 6 is positioned between a magnetic head 11 and a mobile tape guide 15 as well as between a capstan 12 and a pinch roller 13. In the recording or reproducing mode of the VTR, a substrate 14 is shifted toward the head 11. Then the roller 13 supported by the substrate 14 pinches the tape 3 and is pressed to the capstan 12. The tape 13 travels in the direction of an arrow E by the revolution of the roller 13. At the same time, the tape contact part 15a of the guide 15 supported by the substrate 14 touches and presses the tape 3.
