Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the fluctuation in arc length and maintain a globule migration state correctly by providing circuits which detect the area of one pluse period of a pulse current waveform, and control the feed rate of a wire.
CONSTITUTION: Welding current is detected with a detecting circuit 9, is amplified 10 and is put into a pulse peak priod selecting circuit 11, by which it is separated into the current in a base period and the current in a peak period. This peak current value is compared with a reference peak current value in a peak current value indicating circuit 12, and the peak current value is controlled constant by a peak current value setting circuit 14. The pulse current value of one pulse period from a selecting circuit 11 is integrated in an integrating circuit 4, by which the area of one pulse period is determined. This area is compared with the reference area having been set in a function generator 2, and the differential signal thereof is amplified 5, and is inputted to a function generator 6 and a wire feed rate setting circuit 15, whereby the feed rate of a wire is changed.
