Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the cooling effect of a movable iron core type AC arc welding machine and to reduct its size and weight by providing a Persian blinds- like air blow-in port to the outside wall of weld zones, and mounting a fan shielding plate provided with an axial fan to this blow-in port. CONSTITUTION:A Persian blinks-like air blow-in port 13 is provided to the outside wall 4 in the rear part on the side opposite from the movable iron core 1 of a welding machine, and this is convered with a fan shielding plate 9. An air intake port 8 is provided in the cetral part of the plate 9 and an axial fan 11 is mounted thereto. A constant space is formed berween the wall 4 and the fan 11 by the plate 9, and during the operation of the fan 11, the outside air is taken in through the port 13 and the lower blow-in port 19 which is not convered by the plate 9. At this time, the air of a high temp. in the AC machine is not included and the cooling of good efficiency is effected. Since the port 13 is formed like Persian blinds, the amt. of rain drops to be sucked while in use outdoors is reduced.
