Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the clinometer which has shock resistance and a vibration resistance and wherein the inclining direction and the inclining degree can be acknowledged from a distant point, by providing a pressure detecting device on each inclined surface of a concave body constituted by a plurality of inclined surfaces, and providing a means (a spherical body and the like) which applies a pressure to a pressure detecting device and a means for displaying the pressure. CONSTITUTION:The spherical body 2 is placed in a case 1 having a space of a shape of concave body with 4 surfaces. Pressure sensors 31-34 comprising pressurized conductive rubber are provided at the contacting parts of the spherical body 2 and 4 inclining surfaces. A sensitivity adjusting dial 4 which adjusts the pressure to be applied to the spherical body 2 is provided. The pressure change due to the inclination is expressed by an equation DELTAP>=Pt-Ph- DELTAPh based on the conditions which generate the change in resistance, where Ph is the pressure which is received by any inclining surface when the device is horizontally placed, DELTAPh is the pressure change provided by the adjusting dial 4, and Pt is the pressure at the resistance changing point of the pressurized conductive rubber. When the dial is adjusted in order to change DELTAPh, DELTAP corresponding to the inclined angle changes, and display lights 51-54 are lighted and observed from the distant point. The device has the shock resisting and vibration resisting properties.
