Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent interference of both input and output members and provide efficient pumping operation by disposing dampers in a relative spacing between the input and output members in a working chamber which is formed between both members and filled with working fluid. CONSTITUTION:When an input member 4 is turned by an engine via an input shaft 1, a bimetal 15 is actuated because of a high atmospheric temperature to make a valve plate 11 turn to open a communication hole 10a of a partition plate 10. A fluid in a storage chamber 13 then flows into a working chamber 12, forcibly turning a cover member 7 as an output member to drive a fan blade 23. Dampers 21 are disposed in a groove 22 in a body member 5 in the circumferential direction with a fine spacing to the external periphery of the input member 4. The dampers 21 are arranged in the vicinity of the open end at the side of the working chamber 12 of a communication hole 14 of the cover member 7. Thereb, run-out of the cover member 7 may be prevented and a satisfactory pumping operation may be offered.
