Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled substance from an adduct compound, by reacting an N-substituted monoaminodicarboxylic acid with an aminocarboxylic ester in an aqueous medium in the presence of a proteolytic enzyme, and forming the adduct compound of the reaction product with the aminocarboxylic ester.
CONSTITUTION: An N-substituted monoaminodicarboxylic acid expressed by formulaI(R1 is aliphatic oxycarbonyl, benzoyl, etc.; n is 1 or 2) is reacted with the DL-form of an aminocarboxylic ester expressed by formula II (R2 is methyl, isobutyl, etc.; R3 is lower alkoxyl, benzyloxy, etc.) in an aqueous medium, e.g. an aqueous solution, in the presence of a proteolytic enzyme, e.g. metallic protease, at a pH of 5W8. The resultant dipeptide ester is converted into an adduct compound expressed by formula IV with an aminocarboxylic ester expressed by formula III, and the formed adduct compound is separated and decomposed with an acid to give the aimed aminocarboxylic ester expressed by foumula V of the D-form or rich in the D-form.
