Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure the weight and center of gravity of a body to be measured with precision by arranging two load gauges on a slanting table which has a flat top surface and a semicylindrical reverse surface, supporting a mounting board for the body to be measured on the loag gauges, and moving the reverse surface of the slanting table in the circumferential direction. CONSTITUTION:On a slanting table 5 which has a flat top surface and a semicylindrical reverse surface, at least two load gauges 3 (3a and 3b) and 4 (4a and 4b) are arranged at intervals, and a mounting board 2 is supported on the load gauges 3 and 4. The center of both side edges of the board 2 and one end of the table 5 are linked mutually by rods 6a and 6b and only the motion of the board 2 along the top surface of the table 5 is constrained. On the board 2, a body 1 to be measured is placed and fixed, and while the table is held horizontal, the weight is measured. The center of gravity in a plane is found from measured values from the load gauges 3 and 4. A pinion 14 meshing a semicircle rack 8 fixed on the reverse semicylindrical surface of the table 5 is rotated to slant the table 5, and the height of the center of gravity is found from the measued values of the load gauges 3 and 4 and the angle of inclination.
