Abstract
PURPOSE:To control the lubricant in the formed film surely at prescribed amts. in the stage of passing a metallic material to be subjected to pressing, etc. continuously in an electrodeposition bath and forming a lubricating film by specifying the relations among the lubricant concns. in the bath, electrodeposition time and line speeds. CONSTITUTION:In passing a metallic material continuously through an electrodeposition bath contg. an alkaline wate soluble resin, a solid lubricant and water and subjecting the same to electrodeposition painting, the bath temp. is controlled at >=35 deg.C and the applied voltage at >=60V. The lubricant concn. B% in the solids in the electrodeposition bath, and electrodeposition time T seconds and a line speed S m/min are controlled to the conditions satisfying the equation (a= 0.40-0.70, b=0.50-1.00, c=0.010-0.020). Coefficients (a)-(c) are determined variously depending upon the bath temps., applied voltages, etc. The concn. B affects drawability in particular, and experiment reveals that, if the equation is satisfied, the sufficient pickup of the lubricant is obtained.
