Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently manyfacture a uniform V-belt by forming a belt material by a regular moding method on a mandrel, then inserting the material in a rugged mold and pressure vulcanizing the material from the interior. CONSTITUTION:A rubber-coated lower canvas 6, a short fiber-mixing bottom rubber layer 5, an adhesive rubber layer 4 having a tension unit 3 and an upper canvas 2 are wound by a regular molding method on a mandrel 7. The mandrel 7 is removed, and a molded belt material product 10 is produced. This product 10 is inserted into a mold 11 having an arch-shaped rugged surface on the inner peripheral surface 11a. An elastic sleeve 12 is inserted into the product 10. Then, the product is heated, a pressure is applied to the sleeve 12 to expand the sleeve 12, and the product 10 is urged to the mold 11. After a vulcanization, the product is cooled, the mold 11 and the sleeve 12 are removed, and the product is cut by a cutter 16.
