Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the size of antenna small, by switching the tip of a microstrip line for power feeding in distribution coupling and a straight line polarized radiation element into opened and short-circuited states, by means of a switching element. CONSTITUTION:A ground conductor film 42 is coated uniformly at the back of a dielectric substance base 41 and a power feeding microstrip line 43 made of conductor film and a straight line polarized radiation element 44 are formed on the base 41. One side of the element 44 is disposed near a power feeding microstrip line 43 and the element 44 is energized through the distribution coupling with the microstrip 43. A tip 43b of the line 43 is connected to a ground terminal 47 via a diode switch 45 and connected to a bias terminal 48 via a low pass filter 46. The coupling mode between the element 44 and the line 43 is switched with the diode switch 45 to make the entire antenna small and the cost low.
