Abstract

PURPOSE:To use a developer for a long time without damaging the quality of a visible image, by allowing the electric potential current due to a corona discharge to remove a liquid in the state where a white phenomenon is not generated, then removing the liquid mechanically sufficiently. CONSTITUTION:A liquid storage box 14 is provided following a corona discharger 7 in the turning direction of a photosensitive drum 1, and a turnable roller 16 having the same width as the photosensitive drum 1 is immersed in a developer stored in the box 14, and this roller 16 is provided near the surface of the drum 1, and following the roller 16, a roller 17 for liquid removal having the same width as the drum 1 is supported turnably on the photosensitive drum 1 through such gap that the liquid can be removed, and a roller 18 is provided which is compressed to all of the width of the roller 17 and is rotated, and the liquid storage box 14 is arranged so as to surround these rollers. Thus, the carried-away liquid is reduced without damaging the quality of visible images, and the developer is usable for a long time.
