CONSTITUTION:A stabilizer 10 is pinch-held between supports 8 and steps 14, 14, 15, 15 are engaged with tongues 16 so that the stabilizer is kept from moving in the diametral direction of a cylindrical part 4. The stabilizer 10 is kept by claws 13 and support arms 9 from moving in the axial direction of the cylindrical part 4. As a result, the stabilizer 10 is secured on a chassis 10 so that the stabilizer cannot move in any direction. For that reason, no matter what the direction of turning-on operation of the fluorescent lamp unit is, it is supported stably forward and its shock resistance is greatly enhanced.
