Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve moldability, especially flow properties and to obtain molded articles free from bleedout without using an additive, e.g., lubricant, by blending a polyamide with a monoamine or diamine in a molten state and molding in a molten state.
CONSTITUTION: A polyamide is blended with 0.1W3mol% monoamine or diamine in a molten state and molded in a molten state. Preferably the monoamine or diamine is previously added to the polyamide, which is blended in molten state with the amine, pelletized and injection molded. The adjustment of the amount of the monoamine or diamine to be added controls reduction in molecular weight. A plasticizer, colorant, etc, can be used together. The use of the plasticizer, e.g., especially ethylene glycol, etc, is effective for improving flow properties.
