Abstract

PURPOSE: To fix super hardalloy rings easily and firmly without degrading the versatility of shafts by deforming elastic members elastically by means of a movable ring provided in the inside of the side face of a lock nut, and tightening the sintered hard alloy rings by the restoring forces thereof.
CONSTITUTION: Pressurized fluid is introduced through a passage 11 into a sealed space 9 to move a movable ring 6 in an axial direction, thereby deforming elastic members 7 elastically. Two Belleville springs 7a made of spring steel of large spring constants in order to increase the displacement rate of the ring 6 which are disposed symmetrically with a spacer ring 7b in-between are used. A space is made adjacently to a lock nut 5 on account of the elastic deformation of the members 7. After this space is filled by fitting a lock ring 12, the pressure of the pressurized fluid is decreased. Then, sintered hard alloy rings 2 are tightened firmly and are fixed from the side by the restoring force of the members 7. The rolling trouble that may be caused during the rolling work are prevented effectively by such arrangement.
