Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent an optical fiber from being bent in a pipe by extruding melted resin passed through a long-sized fiber, forming the pipe for contaning the optical fiber, and then eliminating the flection of the pipe. CONSTITUTION:Melted resin is supplied to a gap 21 between a die hole 2 and a nipple 3, and while an optical fiber 4 is run through the 1st through hole 5 bored in the tip surface of a columnar part 8 a long-sized fiber 6 is run through the 2nd through hole 7 bored in a slanting part 9 succeeding to the columnar part 8. In accordance with the extrusion of the melted resin, the optical fiber 4 and long-sized fiber 6 are extruded, and consequently a pipe 10 extruded from a die 1 is reinforced by the long-sized fiber 6 to be prevented from flexing downward, so the optical fiber 4 is never bent in the pipe, preventing transmission characteristics from deteriorating.
