Abstract

PURPOSE:To make an electro-magnet small and light by providing an insulating layer acting as an addition mission as an outer cover for a coil wound around an electro-magnetic cylinder having an insulator on its circumference. CONSTITUTION:An insulator coating 19 for electrically insulating a coil 12 is stretched over an outer circumference of an electro-magnetic cylinder 21 of L- section, and an exposed contact surface of the coil 12 and another contact surface confronting a yoke 10 are coated with bond 20 such as varnish constituting an insulating layer serving also as an outer cover. Consequently, the electro-magnetic cylinder 21 is ued in place of a conventional housing and contraction process can be done with ease and the outer diameter of the electro-magnet can be reduced.
