Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the fitting range of a running body by fitting a guide rail in parallel to the welding line of piping, and fixing the guide rail with a holder which is stable in force. CONSTITUTION:A guide rail 34 is fixed at an elbow part by a holder 35 through a rib 36. The holder 35 is clamped on the elbow by a movable pawl, which is linked to the movalbe part of the guide rail 34 through a flexible shaft 43; and the pawls are pressed against an elbow surface by the same handle 44, thus performing fixing operaton. The length of the rib 36 is adjusted by a left and right screw 38 to adjust the distance between a welding line 31 and the guide rail 34. The holder 35 and guide 34 in split ring shapes are connected together through hinges 39 and 52 respectively, and have handles 40 and 41 for opening and closing at the split end part. The guide rail 34 is equipped with a driver 32, which is operated to scan a probe 33 in the circumferential direction of the elbow part and in the axial direction along an arm 51.
