Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a printing plate excellent in printing durability, fat sensibility and chemical resistance by a method in which an ink image is formed on a supporter, and the ink image is treated with an emulsified lacquer in such a way that film-forming substances in the lacquer are adsorbed on the image. CONSTITUTION:An ink image is formed on a supporter (e.g., aluminum plate) for a printing plate by a usual printing method, e.g., typing print, offset print, etc. Then, the ink image is treated with an oil-in-water type emulsified lacquer composed of an aqueous dispersion medium containing water (i), a water-soluble polymer (e.g., PVA) (ii), and a fungicide and an oily dispersoid containing an oranic solvent (i'), a resin (e.g., epoxy resin) (ii'), together with, as needed, a colorant (iii') and a plasticizer. Afterwards, the lacquer is dried preferably by hot air, etc., and residual solvent is removed to obtain a printing plate.
